Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. John Roueche, DVM

Dr. John Roueche earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1997, with undergraduate studies in Chemistry and Biology from Adams State College. He has devoted his career to the health and well-being of animals, with a particular passion for large animal medicine.

John brings a rare combination of deep scientific knowledge, decades of hands-on veterinary experience, and a genuine love for the animals in his care. His presence on the property means your horse receives expert medical oversight every single day — not just at scheduled visits.

Outside of his practice, John is Stacey's devoted sound technician, supporting her country-western performances with the same care and precision he brings to his veterinary work.

Horse Trainer & Facility Manager

Stacey Roueche

Born and raised on a Southern California ranch, Stacey Roueche grew up with horses, hard work, and a deep love for the land. She spent much of her childhood at her family's Sierra Nevada ranch, cultivating a passion for horses and rural life that has defined her ever since.

Stacey holds a degree in Equine Science from Colorado State University and built a long, respected career as a riding instructor, horse trainer, and mentor. For many years she owned and operated Roueche Riding Academy, specializing in training horses and riders for Hunter/Jumper competition.

Today, Stacey channels that lifetime of expertise into the care of retired and lay-up horses — ensuring every horse in her charge enjoys its later years with the peace, attention, and respect it deserves. She also works alongside Dr. Roueche as a veterinary technician, bringing an added layer of medical knowledge to the day-to-day care of every animal on the property.

Raised in a musical family, Stacey is also an accomplished singer who performed professionally in a country-western band — a passion she continues to share with John today.
